Pound in Translation

[In a Station of the Metro
The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
petals on a wet, black bough.]

Out a Route of the Agrarian
The animations of these backsides in the dispersal;
buds on a dry white trunk.

In a terminal of the Underground Railway
The hallucination of the guises in the congregation
petioles on a saturated, stygian appendage.

Within the Headquarters of a Subway
A ghost with disguises inside a throng;
flower parts a top a sodden, ink like stump.

In a Garrison of the City
The phantoms of these appearances in the Army;
shrapnel on a damp, starless Jack.
